—When is your birthday, John? 约翰，你的生日是什么时候？

—It’s on June 1st. 在六月一日。

—Cool! Your birthday is on Children’s Day. What will you do? 太棒了！你的生日在儿童节。你要做些什么呢？

—I’ll have a birthday party. 我将举行个生日聚会。

【指点迷津】

◆When is your birthday? 是用来询问对方生日的句型，通常回答为“It’s on +日期.”，因日期含有“具体某一天”了，所以介词使用on。又如：

—When is your father’s birthday? 你父亲的生日是多少？

—It’s on Sept. 20th.

◆What will you do? 本句是含有will的特殊疑问句，在时态上称为“一般将来时”，用来表示“将要、将会”发生的事情。如：

—Where will they go next week? 下周他们要去哪里？

—They’ll go to Sanya. 他们要去三亚。
