认识序数词

【表现形式】序数词一般在对应的基数词后加th构成，如 fourth，sixth等，而有些序数词（如第一、第二、第三）还需要特殊记忆。为了书写简便，序数词还可以通过缩写形式来表示，其缩写形式为“对应的阿拉伯数字加上序数词的最后两个字母”，我们先看一看前五个基数词和序数词的变化和比较吧：

one — first — 1st

two — second —2nd

three — third — 3rd

four — fourth —4th

five — fifth —5th

【基本用法】基数词常用在可数名词前面，表示数量，如：ten bananas; five people等。 序数词用来表示排列的顺序，前面通常需加“the”，如the second floor，the first day。在表示日期时，由月份（可以简写）加上序数词来表示，如6月4日可以写为June 4th / Jun. 4th，读作June (the) fourth。有时基数词和序数词之间还可互换，如：
