【词汇梳理】

月月有看头

月份（month）大家庭里的十二金钗又与大家见面了，有请她们闪亮登场：

◆January 缩写：Jan. ◆February 缩写：Feb. ◆March 缩写：Mar.
◆April 缩写：Apr. ◆May ◆June 缩写：Jun.
◆July 缩写：Jul. ◆August 缩写：Aug. ◆September 缩写：Sept.
◆October 缩写：Oct. ◆November 缩写：Nov. ◆December 缩写：Dec.
【点拨】月份开头的第一个字母要大写，月份缩写词的第一个字母也要大写，后面的“.” 表示缩写形式符号，不可以漏掉哦，其中May不要缩写。在句子中一般有具体的日期才会用到缩写词，如Dragon Boat Festival is on Jun. 20th this year. 今年的端午节在6月20日。

【句型盘点】

谈论节日活动

月月有节日，真是“应接不暇”啊！那么，如何用英语谈论节日活动呢？下面的句子会帮你一展英语风采的。

1. We have a few fun things in spring. 在春天我们有些有趣的事情要做。

【点拨】a few 意为“数个；一些”，用来修饰可数名词的复数。上面的句子还可以说成：There are a few fun things to do in spring.

2. —When is Mid-Autumn Day? 中秋节在什么时候？

—It’s usually in September or October. 通常在9月或10月。

【点拨】when引导的疑问句常用来询问“什么时候”，回答时要注意时间介词的使用，如表示具体时刻用at（at 8 o’clock），表示具体某一天用on（on Sunday），表示笼统的时间段用in（in March）等。

3. —What will you do on Mother’s Day? 在母亲节你会做些什么？

—I’ll cook for my mother. 我会为妈妈做饭。

【点拨】 这是一组含有一般将来时的句子，用来表示还没有发生的动作或者用来表达一种想法或打算。又如：

We’ll go to the Great Wall during the summer vacation? 暑假期间我们将去登长城。
